Still, if you’re in love with your freckles and want to enhance them, or want the spent-all-summer-in-the-sun look without the get skin cancer risk, tattooed freckles could be the way to go.
Just, like, think really hard about it first, and find a reputable tattoo artist who won’t make you look like you’re suddenly covered in blackheads.

Fake freckles makeup
Nothing says summer skin quite like a bold smattering of freckles across the cheeks and nose. If your skin doesn’t freckle naturally, or if you heed our warnings and practice “safe sun” by slathering on the SPF 30, then you’ll need to “go faux” and add freckles with a makeup pencil.
You can use eyeliner or brow pencils to draw freckles. I use 2 or 3 brushes in varying shades of brown. It works better if the tip is blunt, so don’t sharpen them too much! To apply, touch the pencil to your skin and twist. Spread the fake freckles across the bridge of your nose and upper cheekbones where they would appear naturally from the sun.
Go with natural makeup
Coverage is tricky when you’ve got freckles, since heavy foundations tend to make freckles a strangely gray color. Instead, use a BB cream or tinted moisturizer, which evens things out without transforming the color of your freckles. Only use concealer where you really need to spot treat. Never swipe across an entire area, so you don’t end up with an out-of-place, freckle-less patch. For example: If you have a small blemish on your chin, use just enough to mask the blemish, don’t cover your whole chin.
