Rose scents have always held a special place in my heart, but finding “the one” can be a real quest. That’s why, when I had the chance to visit a local perfume event, my nose was ready for an adventure. And I found some true gems! My search for the perfect rose fragrance, particularly one that truly resonated with me, finally ended when I encountered these. I think my nose can definitely accept it.

Forget those cliched, overly sweet, or fake rose perfumes. These local creations are sophisticated, unique, and totally fashion editor-approved. I put them to the test, and my nose definitely gave its seal of approval.

1. Avicenna – Delicate Dream Extrait De Parfum

This one is soft, fresh, flowery, and has a delicate sweetness. And this on is the winner!

• Pros:
  • The initial sniff is quite striking, but the dry down is really pleasant. It’s a unique blend of fruity and floral, with the lychee making a strong appearance at first before the rose truly blossoms.
  • Since it’s an extrait de parfum, the sillage and longevity are pretty impressive. You’ll definitely get noticed!
  • It dupes of Kate Spade EDP, if you’re a fan of that aesthetic.
• Cons:
  • For me, it’s not an everyday scent, especially in humid heat. Wearing it during a scorching day can be a bit overwhelming and might even give you a headache. I find it’s better suited for evening wear when the air is cooler.

• Pros:
  • The opening is strikingly similar to Jo Malone Rose & Oud, but it quickly distinguishes itself. Closer Still is fresher and lighter, making it more versatile.
  • It’s an incredibly feminine scent, and the bottle itself is absolutely beautiful, making it a lovely addition to any vanity.
  • With a 20% concentration, it boasts a good longevity of 6-8 hours, which is fantastic for an Eau de Parfum.
• Cons:
  • If you’re looking for a bold, in-your-face rose, this might not be it. Its beauty lies in its delicate and comforting nature, so it’s not a “loud” fragrance.

  • It has a beautiful resemblance to Maison Francis Kurkdjian À la rose, offering a similar elegant and fresh rose experience at a more accessible price point.
• Cons:
  • Don’t expect this to be a powerhouse in terms of sillage and longevity. It’s designed to be a more intimate, close-to-the-skin scent, so don’t count on it lasting all day without reapplication, especially if you’re out and about.

This is a rose scent that definitely isn’t basic or run-of-the-mill.

  • As it dries down, you get a subtle hint of sweet vanilla and amber, all perfectly blended. This combination is absolutely divine and adds a layer of warmth.
  • It’s a fantastic option if you’re looking for a rose with an unexpected twist.
• Cons:
  • The longevity isn’t its strong suit. You can expect it to last about 2-3 hours in an air-conditioned room. If you’re out in the heat or need it to last longer, you’ll definitely need to reapply.
